요 16:12-15 우리의 인도자이신 성령님

¹² “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 When ^tthe Spirit of truth comes, ^uhe will ^vguide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but ^wwhatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will ^xglorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 ^yAll that the Father has is mine; ^ztherefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

인도자, 가이드의 중요성 : 광야나 길이 분명하지 않고 교차로들이 많을때, 그리고 초행길일때 인도자는 너무나 중요하다. 

-  Without a guide, wilderness landscapes are often seemingly devoid of reality. When you ponder this image of the Spirit, remember the significance of a guide in an unknown territory. That is where the disciples were headed as Jesus was departing.

12-13절) 주님이 떠나시고 나서 진리의 성령이 오셔서 우리를 진리가운데로 인도하실 것이다. 성령은 자신 스스로가 아니라 오직 하나님으로부터 듣는 것을 말하시며 우리의 장래일을 알려주실 것이다. 

-  The promise, like the other things that Jesus says in these chapters, also has a broader application to all believers as the Holy Spirit leads and guides them (see Rom. 8:14; Gal. 5:18)

- 성령이 우리에게 알려주시는 지식은 세상의 지식이 아니라 하나님과의 관계에서 우리를 그분께로 이끄는 부분에서의 앎, 지식이다.

-  Such an expression is not primarily focused on the context of communicating pedantic secular knowledge or even sophisticated astrophysical and microprocessed genetic information. But the focus is upon one’s life-defining orientation with God and in turn how that affects the way one is guided and related to the various information highways of life.

- 지금 본문을 받고 있는 제자들과 예수를 따르고 믿는 이들이 이제 주님의 십자가이후에 받게될 핍박과 고난속에서 성령의 인도하심은 너무나도 중요한 부분이다. 자신의 힘으로는 감당할 수 없기에 진리의 성령의 인도함이 필요한 것이다. / 현재 대통령과 관련된 국정농단의 사태에 바로 이러한 요소가 관계된다. 어려운 난국을 수습하고 타개해나가기 위해서는 진리의 인도함이 필요하다. 왜냐하면 본인 혼자의 힘으로는 모든 것을 판단하고 결정하기가 힘들기 때문이다. 그래서 주변에 이를 조언하고 적절한 정보를 제공한 조직이나 사람들이 필요함에도 불구하고 이런 조직이 와해되고 비선실세에 의해서 조종당하고 그들의 이야기와 조언을 듣는 과정에서 그러한 조언을 해주는 비선실세들이 정말 진실하게 국정을 인도하는 것이 아니라 자신들의 개인적인 사적욕심을 취하기 위해서 권력을 사유화하는 과정에서 이러한 처참한 일이 벌어지게 된 것이다. 그래서 모든 이들에게 있어서 이러한 진리의 성령의 인도하심은 대단히 필요하다. 

14-15절) 예수님께서 십자가에 달려 죽으시고 부활하심으로 아버지를 영화롭게 하셨다. 이제 성령께서 그리스도를 영화롭게 하실 것이다. 요한의 신학은 예수중심이었다기 보다 하나님중심이었다. 예수님께서 그분의 사명을 아버지께로 받았고, 이제 성령의 역할은 바로 주님께서 받으신 것을 제자들에게 전달하는 것이었다. 

아버지 하나님의 메시지를 주님께서 전하셨고 이제는 성령께서 주님의 영광을 알려주는, 전달자의 역할을 하고 있는 것이다. 이제 이 전달자의 역할이 우리에게 넘겨진 것이다. 우리에게 알려진 이것을 이제 우리가 전달해야할 때가 된 것이다.(고전 11:23, 15:3) 

-  This spiritual guide’s task then is pointedly summarized as receiving that which comes directly from Jesus and passing it on or messaging it (cf. vv. 13–15 for a communication triad)²⁹¹ directly to the disciples. This type of passing on of significant information reminds me of the rabbinic concept of the passing on of tradition and assuming that such tradition has been unaltered in the process. Reflections of this type of Jewish thinking can be found in Paul’s use of the verbs paralambanein (“receive”) and paradidonai (“deliver”) in 1 Cor 11:23; 15:3. The Spirit then is the deliverer of the saving message, which the world received through the disciples.

- 제자들은 예수를 죽인 적대적인 세상에 예수의 구원사역을 전하도록 부르심을 받았다. 그들은 적대적인 상황과 핍박을 떠날수 없지만 다른 보혜사를 받게 되고, 그는 그들을 가르칠 것이고, 그들과 함께 증거할 것이며,  그들의 변호자로 섬기고 세상을 심판할 것이며, 그들을 온전한 진리가운데로 인도할 것이다. 

Disciples are called to follow in communicating the saving mission of Jesus to the hostile world that killed Jesus. They will not escape the wilderness of hostility and persecution, but they will have (1) another Paraclete, (2) one who will teach them, (3) one who will witness with them, (4) one who will serve as their attorney and judge in the world, and (5) one who will guide them authentically in truth.
